Summer Heat

Here are some summer pics for you to enjoy.
How are you holding up in the heat??

The sunflower seems to be enjoying the heat.

Even the clouds seem to press downward to avoid the heat.

Unless of course the clouds are gathering for some evening rain action.

Bees keep right on doing what they do best.

Even the rocks seem to be cracking under the pressure of a dry, hot summer.

Speaking of hot, almost time to make another batch of kimchi.

That first photo of the sunflower is gorgeous! We are supposed to get cooler weather tomorrow. It's thunderstorming as I write this; which I could send some of the moisture to you. What do you do with kimchi? I'm really only vaguely aware of what that is.

Kimchi - It's (for me) a napa cabbage, daikon radish, carrot, garlic, onion and red pepper paste fermented vegetables. You eat it plain, put it in an omelet, stir it in a rice bowl. It has lots of vitamins and beneficial bacteria. I'm also gearing up to make sauerkraut. Time to get those ferments going!
