Fragment Friday

1.  In a fit of optimism I decided to join a shawl knit-a-long. I was doing fine with the thought of Estonian lace until I got to the first direction. Cast on 277 stitches. Gulp. For a person whose biggest project is usually 64 stitch socks, that's an awfully big number.

2.  My tomato plants have a bunch of green cherry tomatoes on them. Now comes the race to see if they ripen before I manage to kill the plant off.

3.  You know the old adage 'you get what you pay for'? It applies to Kindle books also. I've been downloading some of the free books - There's a reason a lot of these are self-published. Not that I haven't read some good self published books, but the majority seem to need a shot in the arm. Has anyone else noticed this?

4.  As the temperatures rise I am tempted to get the Corgis shaved for the summer. But I think they'd be embarrassed.

5.  At my age I shouldn't be taking peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to work on a regular basis...

LOL at #5. I've always appreciated the timelessness of PBJs!

Shaved Corgis go well with Hollandaise sauce and a dry white wine.
