Fragment Friday

It's my party and I'll grin if I want to...

I like cake. You got a problem with that?

1. Here we are in almost July, and I feel like summer is half gone, and I've accomplished nothing. June sort of flew by. Do you have any summer goals? Are they on track?

2.  Hail tore all the blossoms off my lilacs. I enjoyed them for the week or so I had them. Hope the bees find enough flowers out there to snack on.

3.  My garden gnome woodblock has arrived safely in Las Vegas, where he'll reside until fall. I hope he behaves himself until it's time to be puzzle blocked and printed. I may just have to carve a companion piece out of some shina plywood I have. Gnomes, anyone?

4. It's easier to fall out of the habit of writing than it is to fall into it. But then it only takes one good writing session to capture the spark again.

5.  So where have you been already this summer? Where do you plan on going? Vacation or staycation? I need to live vicariously, here.

We're headed your way today. Wyoming bound! Anything to see?

Those are pretty cute kiddies!
Summer is my no-goal time. Fallow time. Let it be time.
And we are New York-bound later in July, with side trips to Madison, WI, area scattered around the summer.

Lisa - but which part are you heading through? Devils Tower on my corner of the state, Yellowstone in the other corner up here. Not sure about down south east or west what you might find interesting.

Kathleen - No goals are good. But I'm way too obsessive not to have fiber arts goals at least. :)

Hi Constance, I was kinda playing off my blog post with that question and the woman in SD saying there was nothing to see. Wyoming has been beautiful! We encountered a hailstorm that out dents in my car, grizzly bears, a double rainbow, and the Grand Tetons. Not to mention the nicest people. Oh, and at one point I was 36 miles from Gilette!!

36 miles away is almost in my backyard! Hope you enjoyed Wyoming. :)
