Corgis, ready to play. |
1. I’m
always surprised by how time barrels along, with or without my consent. Here it
is almost May, and I feel like the year is half gone and I’ve done nothing yet.
On the bright side, it gets my brain in panic mode so I actually get to
producing. What are your plans for May?
2. Impatiently waiting to plant my garden. Youngest child is going to make my Square Foot gardening boxes. He’s pretty handy like that. I offered him vegetables for his efforts, and got a horrified look. He hasn’t outgrown the mac and cheese phase yet.
3. Plotting a trip to Washington, D.C. Air and Space Museum is on the agenda. It’s my favorite museum. Several other museums, a cruise on the Potomac, anything else I shouldn’t miss? I could live in the Smithsonian Museums, but that isn’t an option. Crab cakes are definitely on the menu…
4. It’s funny how work grinds to a halt when the Internet is down. We pretty much can’t function without it. Ten years ago it was an enhancement to our jobs, now, it is our job. Luckily I had a book to read that is on our office To Do list. Motivational thinking stuff. I’m not getting motivated from it, but, bonus, the book does smell like doughnuts!
5. I found my knitting mojo in a skein of pink swirled sherbet colored yarn. It’s well on its way to being socks. It also helped that I downloaded a new way of doing the heel, guaranteed to make short rows easier, your teeth whiter, and improve your credit rating. Is there anything the Internet can’t do?

Sherbert pink socks! Now that is amazing.
Does one ever really outgrow mac n cheese? Sure, perhaps we come to appreciate, and even like, vegetables as our tastebuds mature, but doesn't mac n cheese always hold a top spot as one of the best guilty pleasures? Is it just me? :)
I'm heading to West Yellowstone, MT this May. 11 days and counting - can't wait! Happy Spring!
Carla - Stay tuned for pictures...
My son is still on the boxed stuff. I graduated to homemade. No guilt involved!
Enjoy Yellowstone. Take lots of pictures!
