Equal Time

The cat complained that he wasn't getting any blog time, that those darn Corgis were sucking it all up. He even agreed to pose for the portrait. This is Anubis, the cat that thinks he's a dog. (The cat-headed dog instead of the dog headed person?)

He even comes when he's called, which is more than the Corgis do at times...

Definitely a cat to be treated with respect! I wouldn't like to annoy him.

Yep, that cat looks pissed because the dogs and gnomes get all the attention.

Actually, he looks like he's overdosed on catnip. :)

Anubis is really a sweetheart, very lovey-dovey. He'll wrestle with the dogs and follows me all over the house when I'm home. You know what they say, "Cats - don't do the laundry without one."

Well, I'm sure someone said it...

Anubis... Perhaps the outside world sees him in a different light than you do. This photo, for example, looks like a mug-shot. He's a wee toughy, as far as I can see.

Is this not how you understand him? Perhaps he has you - and the Corgis - under his spell.

Anubis is a sweetheart. He is the most loving cat I've ever seen. I went to the pound intending to get a dog, walked by the cat section. He reached out, tapped me twice on the arm through the bars of his crate. "Pick me, you don't want a dog." He wasn't pushy about it. He just looked at me and did the brainwash thing. I opened the crate, he jumped into my arms, and that was that. He came home with us.

He plays with the dogs, helps me do laundry, rides in the car, and would sleep on my head if I allowed it. Weird, but just this side of weird. In other words, he fits right in. :)
