Fragment Friday

1.    Two cool days and the leaves are falling off my trees in handfuls.

2.    I’ve been listening to the same music for the past three weeks. Mood music for my writing. (Writing soundtrack?) Good thing MP3s don’t wear out. My record on records is eleven weeks straight before I switched to another album.

3.    My office building didn’t get the memo that it is cooler outside. They still have the air handlers set to “Arctic Chill”.

4.    Nudging closer to the Great NY State Expedition. Begin dreading flying in 5, 4, 3. . .

5.    Here is a picture of my finished shawl. I’m not so hot on blocking, so the points on the shawl are less than pointy. Not to mention the last picture is how much yarn I had left. Talk about nail biting at the end. I think it measured out to a few yards left over. Won’t be doing a project like that again anytime soon.

Love the photos of the shawl - I have no patience for that kind of project! But I think your shawl looks pretty nice.

Coming through MN on your way to NY by any chance? :-)

Kathleen, after knitting one, I no longer have patience for shawls either. :) But I can say I've knitted one. Onwards to other projects!

No, flying out of Gillette and into my hometown after numerous plane changes. Afraid I can't afford to make it to Minn. this year too.

Well, you'll have to get here some year. :-) Enjoy the trip you do get to take!

What were you listening to for 3 weeks? And, are you from NY?

Split Pea Traveler - I was listening to the Black Hawk Down soundtrack. Hans Zimmer is great for writing the background music to certain scenes. Of course before that I was listening to The Offspring, so you never know...

Yep, I'm originally from upstate NY.

I lived on Long Island from about 14 yo - 24, and graduated from SUNY Oswego. Upstate NY is so beautiful! Spent time there this summer, too, in the Adirondacks. Where did you grow up?

Also, good to know about Hans Zimmer!
