Fragment Friday - Christmas Edition

1.  We're having an Ugly Sweater day at work. Who knew sweaters could be so... blinky?

2.  I accidentally locked one Corgi in the back bedroom. He was in there for two hours and not a peep out of him. A little "Hey! I'm in here! bark would have been helpful. I finally figured out where he was and let him out - and the Christmas presents were all intact. What a good dog.

3.  Yes, books figure prominently in my Christmas giving. Some things are too good not to share. Do you give books as gifts? Which ones?

4.  I never like wrapping presents until about 3 presents into it. By then I figure out once again that Scotch tape cures all ills. Do you prefer to wrap things for yourself, or have it done at the store?

5.  I have a Weird Al Christmas song stuck in my head. Christmas At Ground Zero. I thought I'd share the earworm. Here, enjoy:

Weird Al - the perfect Christmas music! I'm sharing this with Abby.
When I first read #4, I got to the word, "Scotch", totally missed "tape", and thought, wow, you have the best wrapping method ever.
Merry Christmas, Constance!

Scotch and wrapping presents do go together, don't they? :)

Merry Christmas, Kathleen.

Happy Christmas!

PS, there was a fashion writer (or something) on Radio 4 the other day explaining that horrible sweaters are now the epitome of cool. Or something. I was busy at the time. Your Ugly Sweater Day may be at the cutting edge of high fashion.

Merry Christmas Carla.
I'd rather wear a nice sweater and not be at the cutting edge of fashion. Or some plain old cable knits or Fair Isle and call it good.

How are the sweaters blinky? Are they also battery operated?

Constance Brewer said...

Yep - battery operated blinking sweaters. It was fairly hideous. And here I thought glitter was bad.

Imagine battery operated glitter. Oh my!
