1. Memorial Day weekend
here - a three day weekend. I know lawn mowing is in our future. Maybe a
trip to the movies, nothing too exciting. Have you got any plans?
2. I'm going to try and work on
my Fantastic Garden Puzzle Print wood block this weekend. Hard to decide
between carving birds, flowers, or fairy riding Corgis. Or something completely
out there. Suggestions?
3. My urge to write never aligns
with the weather. When it was rainy, I was uninspired. Now that it's
nice out, I want to write, not work in the yard. I suspect the muse
likes chaos.
4. We're headed into heavy
birthday season. It kicks off with eldest child's this week. Hard to
think he's growing older. I'm not... not that I know of. Or was that
growing up?
5. Is cooking out on your to do
list this weekend? Hamburgers and hot dogs or something more elaborate?
What's your favorite side dish? Do you go with iced tea or lemonade or
something else?

Those dogs always make me smile.
We had a student from the Netherlands in our guestroom last night; tonight we're taking her out to dinner. She's here for the summer, working in Mick's lab. So, our Memorial Day weekend will be one of introducing her to Minnesota at the start of summer. Glad it quit snowing!
#5 - We go with beer. And wine. Dr. Pepper for the under-aged among us.

We do the beer-wine thing here too. My baby will be legal for a beer in 6 months. Time flies!
